aeriesAeries is our student information system:
The Simi Valley Unified School District uses a web-based student information system called Aeries as a communication system between the district, teachers, parents, and students. Each parent is required to establish an Aeries Parent Portal account to keep track of student progress, including report cards -- our teachers report grades at the 10th week and semester. Parents should email teaches in between those date for ongoing process. Updates to student contact and medical information should also be done by parents through Aeries. SVUSD Does NOT Support Aeries Mobile App: Please be aware that SVUSD does not support the Aeries Mobile Portal App. Aeries must be accessed through the Aeries login screen on your internet browser. |

The SAT is an admission test accepted by all U.S. colleges, and the College Board has programs to encourage all students to take advantage of higher education. Income-eligible SAT takers receive college application fee waivers and all students can opt in to Student Search Service® to receive free information about admission and financial aid from colleges, universities, and scholarship programs. As with the ACT, you should take your first SAT in the spring of your junior year. This allows you to reserve dates in the fall to retake and most importantly, release your scores to UC/CSU no later than December. |

act test info & PrepACT's response to CO-VID 19
www.act.org/content/act/en/covid-19.html www.act.org. The ACT is a nationally administered, standardized paper-and-pencil test that helps colleges evaluate candidates. Colleges now accept your ACT or SAT scores interchangeably. This means that you have the opportunity to decide on which test you'll perform better. Generally, you'll take the ACT for the first time in the spring of your junior year. This allows you to reserve the summer months for college applications or enough time to re-take the test during the fall of your senior year if you're not satisfied with your score. As a senior, be sure to release your ACT scores to the colleges/universities you are applying no later than December. |
